FAQ If the facility I manage gets mostly positive scores from the auditor during the inspection, will my facility receive certification?
No, the Safe Feed/Safe Food program does not work this way. Certification is an all-or-nothing, pass-fail process. Either a facility is fully certified or it is not. If the application process or audit is only partially complete, the facility will not be certified. An auditor may identify non-conformances during the audit, however, they need to be addressed before certification can happen.
If the changes that are needed are minor, the auditor will await delivery of additional answers or paperwork. If the deficiencies are sufficient to deny certification, an appeal is possible.
