FSC34 Certification
Third-party certifications for animal food safety can be awarded through one of four programs under our Safe Feed/Safe Food (SF/SF) certification program, with FSC34 being the program used for the manufacture of animal feeds. This program is benchmarked with the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), meaning it meets the internationally accepted standards for food safety within the food retail industry. It is a good way to sharpen your employees’ understanding of the regulations with a program trusted by the Food and Drug Administration. You can minimize feed safety risks and prepare for your next federal inspection, all while proving to your customers your commitment to feed safety.
Certification Bodies
To get started, you will first need to contact a third-party certification body, which has auditors trained in conducting FSC34 SF/SF audits. This program can be audited by any of the following six certifying bodies that the AFIA works closely with:
